INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb ground turkey 93/7% fat
- 100g chopped white onion
- 255g chopped kale *baby kale can be substituted
- 1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes-no salt added
- 1 15oz can Great Northern beans
- 7g Ground Garlic
- Salt & Pepper to taste (I start off with 3 grams of salt and 1 gram of pepper)
- 5g Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Sage
- 1/2 tsp Dry Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Ground Red Pepper (Cayenne)-optional
- 1g Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 946ml (32 fluid oz) Chicken Broth **I used Pacific Organic Free Range Low Sodium
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large pot, set heat to Medium High and cook ground turkey along with chopped onion. Add all dry seasonings
- Add chopped kale and once wilted, turn heat to Low and add chicken stock, diced tomatoes (do not drain) and the Northern beans (drain but do not rinse)
- Let soup simmer for 15 minutes or longer for all the flavors to meld. Enjoy!
