I’m from Kansas and moved to AZ two years ago. My husband and I have three kids, 11, 9, and 6.

I work as a Nurse Practitioner in a busy Cardiology practice, splitting time between the hospital and clinic. Hobbies are CrossFit and watching my kids do their activities.

I have worked out consistently for years. I put on some extra weight and didn’t feel like I looked as good as I should for as hard as I was working in the gym

I was lacking confidence and I was not motivated to make the nutritional changes that were needed to achieve the aesthetic that I wanted; I was eating whatever I wanted, whenever.

In the past I had tried restrictive dieting and was successful in leaning out, but it was not a maintainable lifestyle.

With Copper State FIT, I felt that I had more accountability which would keep more engaged and motivated. And, counting calories/ macros seemed to be more sustainable long term.

When I started to see results and I wasn’t having the severe cravings that I had had with past diets, I realized the plan was working!

As a result, I was able to confidently celebrate my 40th birthday and then come back to resume my new lifestyle, which I have become comfortable with.

My primary goal was to see my abs by the time I turned 40. I achieved that goal!

And, now confidently wear shorts to workout on a regular basis. This was rare in the past as I was so self conscious of my legs.

Had I not made the decision to join this program, I would probably in the same place I was before; not super happy with how I looked for the amount of exercise I was doing.

No matter how much I exercised my diet was holding me back from looking the way I wanted. I still eat out a lot, as this is my reality. However, I know what I can eat (and where) to still adhere with my nutritional goals and to maintain my results.

If  you’re on the fence, just know this IS doable! Even with my busy lifestyle I was able to make it work.

I was the prime example of one of my favorite things to say to my cardiac patients… ”you cannot out run your fork.”
