July 18, 2022

I’ve worked in Risk Management in the Finance Industry for the past 7 years. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 22 years. We have two teenagers and two dogs. We love to travel and are big foodies. I’m also a former military officer.

Before discovering Copper State FIT, I’d been living a very sedentary lifestyle and was having a hard time with diet and exercise consistency. Plus, I was eating things I thought were “healthy”, but instead, I was getting the opposite effect. I’ve never had a nutrition coach before or personal trainer either. So, this was new to me. I thought I was working out enough and eating right, but wasn’t making progress. So I bit the bullet and signed up. Best decision ever!

Copper State FIT was great because I was able to tell my coach (The AMAZING Dana Klose) what was going on and she’d fine tune things for me. I also liked that it was specific to my body and desires. It took me some time to sort things out and make things sustainable. But once I did, I was off to the races and each day was exciting.

Life now is great. I love working out and I don’t feel my eating is like a restrictive diet. I just make smart choices and I feel great and I’m satisfied. I’m not walking around starving.

My biggest takeaways in working with Copper State FIT were… Stay consistent… You can enjoy whatever you want, but you don’t have to stuff yourself to do that. You’ll get the same satisfaction from eating 5 wings vs 25 wings (Hey, don’t judge me. It was the Super Bowl!)… and finally, we focused more on my behavior and mindset so the new techniques I learned became a natural habit.

As a 45 year old sedentary guy, I went from 248lbs to 223lbs and felt amazing! I decreased my bodyfat and added muscle. I was able to do 10 perfect pull-ups too. Haven’t done that since the military!

If I hadn’t joined CSF, I wouldn’t have made the progress that I did. It’s that simple. My 3 pictures  prove it.

The “before” pic is of me back in Jan 2022. I looked TERRIBLE! The “after” pics are me on 20 May 2022 after a workout. Boy did I look GREAT!

Then, a day later, on 21 May, I broke my left foot (5th metatarsal) and couldn’t do anything. But, with the habits I learned from CSF, I didn’t revert to my old ways and just start pigging out.

The 3rd picture is me at the beach on 24 June 2022, 2 days after finally being allowed to put pressure on my foot (notice the boot). While not as buff and vascular as the workout pic, I still look and feel great. I get to start working out again the week of 11 July. I’m so looking forward to it!

If you’re on the fence about signing up, just do it. Trust me, it’s worth it. You’re bad health is costing you more than signing up for CSF ever will!
