How is My Protein Intake Determined?

Protein is not just for building muscle. It also serves as the building blocks for skin, hair, nails and hormones.

Protein also improves fat loss, recovery from workouts, prevents muscle loss, helps you feel more full after meals and improves metabolic health.

If you don’t consume enough protein, it may be difficult to lose body fat or build muscle.

Additionally, if you’re in a calorie deficit for fat loss and consistently falling short of your protein goal, you may lose muscle in addition to any fat you lose.

To say protein is important would be an understatement!

HOW IS MY PROTEIN INTAKE DETERMINED?

Daily protein requirements can vary from person to person.

Optimal daily intake ranges between 1.0 to 1.4 grams per pound of LEAN BODY MASS, or the amount of your body weight remaining after subtracting your body fat.

We’ve calculated your personalized protein goal by determining your lean body mass, and taking into account your reported activity levels and your and your chosen goal. From there, your daily protein goal was set within the optimal range.

With this amount, you can rest assured that you are at an adequate intake to accelerate fat loss and prevent muscle loss, improve your recovery from workouts, build lean muscle, and feel more full after meals while improving your metabolic health.
