My name is Suzanne, and I’m an oncology nurse in Manhattan. As a mom of four boys, from the age of 9 to 16, and juggling a busy work schedule, staying in shape has always been a priority. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and playing tennis.

While my weight was never a significant issue, the challenge of losing those few pounds became harder with age. Despite consistent workouts, the scale didn’t budge, and the fear of weight gain, after induced menopause from a hysterectomy, added to the frustration.

I tried various diets like Weight Watchers, Low Carb, very low calorie diets and juice cleanses, but nothing offered lasting results, and I always ended up losing muscle instead of fat.

Frustration set in when I couldn’t get the scale to budge, despite intense workouts. All the things that used to work before seemed ineffective, I knew I needed a shift in my eating habits.

CSF stood out with their balanced approach, emphasizing whole foods, implementing moderate calorie cuts while prioritizing protein intake, and placing significant emphasis on maintaining, or gaining muscle while losing fat.

When I saw my weight and inches going down, little by little, I knew this was the plan for me. I was surprised to find that it wasn’t that hard, either!

I am feeling so much better. My clothes fit more comfortably, and I’ve noticed a significant boost in energy. I’ve also learned how to indulge occasionally without compromising my progress, and have the knowledge to get right back on track.

Three things that made a significant impact on my success were:

  1. Weighing Food: which has helped me understand true portion control.
  2. Meal Planning: This was critical for maintaining consistency with a healthy, balanced diet.
  3. Protein’s Significance: Now I realize how important protein is for building muscle and losing fat!

I’m now down to my high school weight, but more toned with lean muscle, even after four C-sections! It’s something I never thought possible.

Not only that, I look better now than I did after running the NYC Marathon. My energy levels have significantly improved. Balancing work as a nurse and being a mom of four boys used to leave me exhausted all the time. Now, I can easily wake up for 6 am workouts. I feel like I’ve added so many productive hours to my day and week, and I’m in the best shape of my life!

Without CSF, I’d still be stuck in the cycle of working out, losing a few pounds, and gaining it back again… which I had been doing for the past 5 years.
